OMG!! ok, this is sooo cool. i got lots of gift certificates & money from lazy relatives, so i went out and bought about four billion cds! i'm going to list them all, because i suck.

this isn't it - the diff'rent strokes

how AWESOME is that? my favorite is the diff'rent strokes one - they're a tribue to the strokes, obviously, and they do keyboard versions of all their songs. well, only four so far: last nite, hard to explain, the modern age (which doesn't sound anything like the original O_o) and is this it. i played it first, and then i just sat there and laughed really hard. it's the funniest thing ever - to hear the strokes' kickass rough edge punk rock converted into like, easy listening crap. it's not actually bad (last nite is the best imho) but it's still a little unnerving. saves the day is REALLY, REALLY good. i had heard their name tossed around before, but not really, and i read about em in someone else's diary. so i just picked it up. same goes for dashboard confessional.

gawd, ya know what sucks tho? i find all these awesome bands and i think they're really awesome and then i see that mtv has picked them up at the exact same time i have, so everyone thinks i get all my music from mtv. no! it's not true! not true at all! saves the day is so awesome. i'm gonna go add them to my favorites list. i can't wait to go back and buy their other cds. i had also been meaning to buy "sunburn" by fuel, but ARGH!! i totally forgot, which was odd, considering i kept telling myself NOT to forget on the drive there, and then there was a fuel poster on the wall there. oh well. i'm not that disappointed. i still have like five cds to go.

ok, i'm done ranting.

i think christmas should have rules. i think people should just give money. screw presents - who wants a teddy bear when they can go out and buy a radiohead cd? i mean, seriously, people. whenever people ask me what i want for the holidays i'm gonna say "well, you can get me whatever you think would be fitting, but i'd love you more if you gave me a fat wad of cash." ya know? it's just easier to go out and get the stuff yourself instead of getting heaps of y crap that you'll stuff into a box and never ever look at again.

argh! shut me up, please!
