i think as a general default, i like icelandic music. i swear to god, i haven't heard one thing that i haven't liked. i download most of my stuff from smekkleysa, which is like... the ultimate record label in iceland. it's the most famous and has like a bajillion artists, from bjork and sigur ros to... any indie icelandic band you could think of.

plus, hearing icelandic words being sung is the most orgasmic thing for me.

so now i'm and iceland-phile. i think the first culture i was obsessed with was italian, then japanese, then british-english-irish-scottish, and now icelandic. hmmm. i've never visited the countries i obsess about either. maybe this time will be different though.
